Grabbing the Final Jiggy

Once we’ve found our way back onto the frozen platform of Freezing Furnace in Spiral Mountain we’ll be ready to do a little backtracking! If you can recall back to Bad Magic Bayou we had to leave the level after collecting our 9th Jiggy as the 10th Jiggy required certain abilities that we were lacking at the time. Now that we’ve completed Freezing Furnace we’ve acquired the necessary elements we’ll need to collect the final Jiggy of the game. From Freezing Furnace head to your immediate south and you’ll approach the Bee Hive in the divot ahead along with the Gruntweed who protects this area. If you follow the divot to the south you’ll enter Spiral Rise.

Spiral Rise

Once you’ve entered the sandy shire where you’ll find the Bad Magic Bayou entrance, take care of the Whiplash that blocks your path up ahead. From here head down south until you drop off the ledge by Bad Magic Bayou, then follow the sandy shore southwards and take a left once you see the large warped Bayou stump. When you’re ready we’ll enter Bad Magic Bayou and collect the last Jiggy in the game bringing our total to 60.

Bad Magic Bayou

From here you’ll need to head south until you reach the end of the boardwalk and then jump off onto the island below. Once you’ve landed safely, you’ll need to jump onto the octagon tire pile directly south, not the pile to your left. Head right to the sandy island after you’ve completed the jump and then head south until you see the next boardwalk you’ll need to take to the left. Execute a Feathery Flap to clamber onto the boardwalk and head to the left where you’ll find another tire pile with a swinging Stinglash in the center, use your Pack Whack attack to make quick work of the Stinglash and then head left to the next boardwalk. Once you’ve Feathery Flapped onto this platform you’ll have to deal with a Bogfoot which should feel incredibly easier after dealing with the Biggafoots in Freezing Furnace, keep on the platform until you reach the sandy island on the other side. On this island you’ll meet up with the Jinjo Oracle once more, without any advice to part we’ll leave the Oracle alone and instead head to the left where we’ll find our final boardwalk. To the left of this boardwalk you’ll notice that a group of Stinglashes surround a Bee Hive, it’s strongly recommended that you stock up on your honeycomb energy as we’ll be taking another trip through the Vapor Scrubs, not to mention you’ll probably be low on health from our last trek in Freezing Furnace. Once you’ve done that return to the boardwalk and get into Talon Trot mode, then head to the north to enter the dreaded Vapor Scrubs.

Vapor Scrubs

Right, let’s make this as quick and painless as possible. First, head north until you reach the end of the path then jump to the left to clear the large gap. Once you land continue down the path to gain a piece of honey energy and then head toward the gap to the north. Clear the gap and reach the end of the boardwalk, you’ll have to jump diagonally here to reach the next section north, do so and collect the Honey energy waiting for you. Once you’ve collected it, head north to exit the Vapour Scrubs.

Bad Magic Bayou

Once you’re able to gulp a lungful of fresh air continue down the path to the north and you’ll be lead directly to Mumbo’s Pad.

Mumbo’s Pad

Once inside Mumbo’s Hut, carry onto the north and speak with the shaman. Confirm that you’d like to change into something and Mumbo will take you back to the center of his Pad. Once Mumbo begins his transformation dance select the Tank Transformation when the menu appears. As soon as Mumbos transformation is complete, exit Mumbo’s Pad with Tank-Banjo.

Bad Magic Bayou

Let’s head back onto the boardwalk to the south and then take the left ramp upward to the next area. Use your Tank Shot ability to take out the Stinglash blocking the path to the left and then head north to locate a Tank Door nearly concealed by the surrounding cliff and underbrush. Inside we’ll locate the final Jiggy. Use your Tank Shot to blast open the Tank door and continue inside the cavern.

Tread-Careful Copse

Inside the noxious grotto you’ll be tasked with a similar challenge as found in Freezing Furnace; you’ll need to traverse a series of platforms to the other side of the room, making sure to ride over top of every last one before you finish your journey to the other side. Though the puzzle is considerably easier than it’s Lava Jetty counterpart, it’s still difficult to take on the first go, so you’ll likely need to experiment to find the best and most productive route that will take you to the other side.

Once you manage to clear all nineteen of the platforms and make it successfully to the other side of the Copse without falling into the bog your final reward will appear through the thick undergrowth in front of the exit. Ride across the dock and pick up the last Jiggy (10) in the game. Once you’ve done that you’re free to exit through the underbrush to the north.

Bad Magic Bayou

After completing the Tread Careful Copse challenge you’ll find yourself ejected from a cavern to the left of Mumbo’s Pad. Once you’ve touched down and let the hydraulics handle the impact it’s time to venture into Mumbo’s Pad to transform back into Banjo and Kazooie.

Mumbo’s Pad

No need to get sentimental, but this is the final time we’ll have to use Mumbo’s helpful magic. You’ll be a huge help in the future when Gruntilda kidnaps Tooty Mumbo, so don’t get out of practice. Once you’ve transformed back into Banjo we’ll exit Mumbo’s Pad and get back to the bog.

Bad Magic Bayou

Right, let’s get into Talon Trot mode straight off and head directly south to enter the Vapor Scrubs one last time, we won’t miss the smell I can tell you that much.

Vapor Scrubs

The quickest route back to Bad Magic Bayou from here is to immediately head to the left and then jump to the south with a Talon Trot jump once the platform ends. From here run to the south until you see a grouping of Whiplashes and jump right over top of the them to the south, chances are you’ll plunge into the murky depths of the Bayou water but you’ll manage to see your escape route to the south east. Execute a Feathery Flap to get out of the gunk and land on the boardwalk which will take you back down to Bad Magic Bayou.

Bad Magic Bayou

From here head south until the boardwalk forks off and take the route to the right where you’ll find the island which harbors the Jinjo Oracle. Jump onto the next boardwalk to the right and defeat the Bogfoot again and finish off by jumping onto the tires to the right. Defeat the Stinglash here and execute a Feathery Flap to the north, you should manage to glide to a group of tires waiting to the north. Once you’ve done that you’re free to destroy the Stinglash for better accuracy for the next jump to the right where you’ll land on the octagon set of tires leading back to a sandy island. After you’ve done that just continue up to the boardwalk and execute a Talon Trot to get back up to the entrance of Bad Magic Bayou and back to Spiral Mountain.

Spiral Rise

Once you’ve emerged from the twisted maw of Bad Magic Bayou we’ll take a in a breath of fresh air and let out a sigh of relief. With all of the Jiggies in our possession we no longer have to be restricted by levels that take lofty amounts of Jiggies to unlock, luckily for us the final confrontation against Gruntilda is the last thing we’ll unlock, so let’s head down to Jiggy Wiggy’s Temple. We’ll continue toward the south to make it back to Spiral Mountain leaving the sandy swamp behind.

Spiral Mountain

From here head to the south until you reach grassy terrain and then drop down to the left where we’ll encounter Bozzeye’s first mole hill. Continue all the way to the right where we’ll find the Jinjo Oracle and then drop down to the Cliff Farm area and head toward Jiggy Wiggy’s Temple. With 60 out of 50 needed Jiggies to access the final confrontation with Gruntilda, we’ve completed everything in the game 100%, except for the fight in Gruntilda’s Castle – so let’s get on that shall we?

Jiggy Wiggy’s Temple

Once we enter inside Jiggy Wiggy’s Temple we’ll complete the required task for the last time; head up either of the staircases that lead to Jiggy Wiggy and see what the priest has to say. You’ll be informed that you have acquired enough Jiggies to enter Grunty’s Stronghold as the gateway below the arch is opened. After we’ve gotten that out of the way we’ll need to go through the archway and activate the Jiggy Altar. The power of the Jiggies will reach the farthest reaches of Spiral Mountain, heading up the Spiral Rise to break the final seal above Gruntilda’s Statue that will lead us into the newly constructed Lair. Back at the Temple you’re free to speak to the Jiggy Priest who will part you with his cautionary advice and leave the Temple and prepare for the final fight!
