Finding Freezing Furnace

From the entrance of Spillers Harbor, let’s descend the staircase until we find ourself in front of the orange barrels. From here head south into the water to collect a pair of notes (70) that take us to a Shock Spring Pad on a lone island. Climb onto the island and use the Shock Spring Pad in front of the pillar in order to elevate yourself upward the feeble Jinjo (3) trapped on the top of the pinnacle. Once you’ve snatched it up drop down into the water and pick up the stray note (71). Swim around the right side of the pillar to the north to pick up the next string of notes (73). From here head directly right following the shore until you spot a piece of land which is low enough to climb onto.

Upon climbing onto the pink earth you’ll spot your next note (74) as well as a Wonderwing Pad. Activate your Wonderwing ability and run toward the left, making sure to follow the path created by the elevated platform. Remember, even though you are invincible the magma around this area will cause you damage, so try your best not to fall off into the lava would you? Along the way to the left edge of the course you’ll pick up 3 notes (77) as well as run through a Spooko and a Boom Box.

Once you’ve found your way, continue north and right to pick up your next two notes (79), using your Wonderwing to breeze through a lone Boom Box. Go south and to the right to find the next Spooko along with another string of notes (81). The Boom Box ahead will be guarding the last set of notes (84), so charge through him and head north to find your much-deserved prize; a Jiggy (8) on the end of the platform. Once you’ve picked it up, disable your Wonderwing ability and head south, using a well-timed Feathery Flap to coast safely over the lava and into the water.

Let’s rescue the other Jinjo’s shall we? If you continue south from your current location you’ll manage to spot a Shock Spring Pad atop a pillar out of reach, keep heading left until you see a patch of green earth that you can jump onto, doing so will earn you your next note (85) on the treaded path. Nudge a little to the right here and you’ll pick up a hidden note (86) concealed by a fence, jump up to the next platform to the right to pick up the next note (87) and use a Flip Flap to jump up to the salmon Platform where you’ll find 3 notes (90) leading to a Shock Spring Pad.

Let’s skip out on the Shock though and instead head over to the right and collect the single note here (91). You should hear the cries of a Jinjo ahead, but you might not be able to see it, that’s because from the perspective the path will obscure your view and you’ll barely be able to spot the Jinjos’ toes. Venture underneath the platform and feel around until you’re able to grab the next Jinjo (4). Keep heading north and stick to the island to find the next note (92) and head right then south to find the next grouping of notes (94), one on an elevated platform and the next on the ground to the left.

Run over to the left from here to locate the Shock Spring Pad once more and use it to boost yourself up over top of the platform that the Jinjo was underneath. Follow the platform to the right in order to locate the next Shock Spring Pad which you can use to boost yourself up to the final platform to the right where you’ll find 2 notes (96) as well as the next Jiggy (9). Drop down to the left once you’ve collected these and follow the fence left until you drop down to the next level with the treaded path which will take you back to Spiral Rise.

Spiral Rise

From here head to the right, following along the cliff edge. Watch out for the Gruntling and continue right after Honey B’s Hive until you come to a patch of fire, get into Breegul Blaster mode and use your Ice Eggs to extinguish the fire which traps a Jinjo in the center. Once you’ve cleared a pathway collect the Note (97) and be sure to rescue the final Jinjo (5) before he burns himself, will you? Be sure to carefully edge yourself out of the fire trap so you don’t singe your fur and make your way down south all the way back down to Spiral Mountain.

Spiral Mountain

Upon returning to Spiral Mountain we’ll have the opportunity to pick up our final Spiral Mountain Jiggy from the Jinjo Oracle. Once you pick up the Jiggy (10) the Jinjo Oracle will impart it’s collective wisdom to us with chance that the Jinjo’s may be able to settle down once Grunty has been defeated. We can only hope. From the Jinjo Oracle head south toward the Jiggywiggy’s Temple, at 49 Jiggies we’re well over the required amount of 39. Let’s enter the doorway and start the process that we’ve become so familiar with.

Jiggy Wiggy’s Temple

In case you’ve forgotten how, we’ll ascend either side of the staircase and approach the Jiggy Priest. Upon confirmation that we’ve collected enough Jiggies to unlock the next world; Freezing Furnace. Once the Priest opens the archway below climb down the staircase and press A once you approach the altar. Doing so will reveal that you’ve unlocked Freezing Furnace along with 3 notes that surround the entrance, the final 3 notes we need…Back at the Temple we’ll be just under the required amount of 50 Jiggies to face off against Gruntilda with 49, rotten luck. Let’s get going by leaving the Temple.

Spiral Mountain

Once you’ve left the Temple find your way back up to the Jinjo Oracle and then continue north to the vines located behind it and climb to Spiral Rise.

Spiral Rise

Unfortunately for the time being we won’t be able to get trade in any Hollow Honeycombs to Honey B just yet. However we are still capable of using the Shock Spring Pad provided to the left of Honey B’s Hive in order to elevate ourselves to the ledge above. Once you’ve bounded upwards onto the ledge mind the Gruntling that patrols this area and then continue to the left until the path heads northwards. Follow it to reach Spiral Mere.

Spiral Mere

Once you enter Spiral Mere head to the left and jump over the gap in the river to the other side of the shore using a Feathery Flap. Keep heading left until you fall into the divot, then head to your immediate north until you approach the shore. Dive into the water and head north and you’ll come across the entrance to Freezing Furnace, jump onto the icy platform and collect your final 3 notes (100). The ice must be cold on Banjo’s toes, but he’s only stepped on the tip of the iceberg that he’ll have to endure inside this frostbitten fiery world! Let’s enter the gaping maw and get the final world out of the way…

Next: Freezing Furnace.
