Breeching Breegul Beach

Once we’ve returned to Spiral Mountain we’ll head south toward JiggyWiggy’s Temple. With 11 Jiggies in our possession we’re ready to unlock the next world which requires a mere 6. After you’ve entered the temple and speak with JiggyWiggy a second time, he’ll inform you that you’ve collected enough notes to enter Breegul Beach as he opens the gate below. Just as before, we’ll descend the staircase and walk under the archway toward the Jiggy Pad and press A. With Breegul Beach unlocked it’s time for Banjo to pair up with Kazooie if he manages to find where Gruntilda has hidden her.

The current Jiggy counter in the Temple will display 14 Jiggies needed to unlock the next world, and with our current collection of 11 we have our work cut out for us. Let’s exit the Temple and get back to Spiral Mountain. Once outside we’ll work our way around the Temple by going south, and then traveling left making sure to follow the railing that surrounds the temple north. Once we reach the ledge it’s just a matter of executing a few jumps to take us back to the Jinjo Oracle. Instead of shooting the breeze with the sage however, we’ll continue upward to an unexplored part of Spiral Mountain that can be accessed by using your Grip Grab ability.

Spiral Rise

Climb up the slope to your right and collect the 3 notes on the pathway (28). If you continue north from here you’ll locate a giant Bee Hive. This is Honey B’s Hive, a location that will become vital to your success as you progress further into the game. As Bozzeye has pointed out, you may trade off empty honeycombs to Honey B for a single unit of honey energy to be added to your life bar. Each time you successfully trade off your Empty Honeycombs for extra energy Honey B. will up the ante, requiring an additional amount of Empty Honeycombs for the next extension. Her current minimum demand is 2 Honeycombs, which we’ve just managed to surpass with 3 total. Let’s enter the hive and get some life!

Honey B’s Hive

Once inside the hive walk north through the sticky honey path and you’ll encounter Honey B minding the counter, press A in front of the counter to trade off your hard earned combs for an extension. If you’ll take notice at the top of the screen we now have 5 honeycomb units rather than our previous 4, all the better to take on Ol’ Wartbags with! Since our next extension requires us to trade in four Honeycomb Pieces that we just don’t have yet, we won’t be able to get another extension until we’ve collected at least one Empty Honeycomb Piece from Breegul Beach. That said, let’s bid Honey B farewell and leave her hive behind.

Spiral Rise

From Honey B’s Hive go to the right until you approach a ledge. Hop up on the ledge and observe a sparkling root in front of you. Say…the last time we saw a sparkling root we got a Hollow Honeycomb piece out of it. Maybe we’ll find our way back to Honey B’s Hive sooner than expected…Using your Pack Whack ability on the roots will reveal a single piece of Honeycomb energy. Awe, I suppose we couldn’t expect too much out of it then… Don’t lose hope though, let’s continue to the right until we find a second sparkling root. I wonder what could be hidden here? Let’s give it a Pack Whack to find out… After you’ve destroyed the root you’ll uncover a Jiggy (2) that’s just begging for you to take it!

After you’ve collected your Jiggy you’ll notice a collection of notes (31) farther to the right, grab them up and head north just a smidgen. You see that leering face jutting out of the right side of Spiral Mountain? That’s going to be the future Gruntilda’s Lair! Scary thought isn’t it? It’s also somewhat comforting knowing how much we’ve accomplished just this far into our adventure. Let’s also pay our respects to the fallen King Jingaling head to the left which has been demolished and left to grow moss as Gruntilda slapped her own mug in it’s place.

Once you’re finished taking in the sights, continue to the left and drop down, we’ll pass Honey B’s Hive and continue left as we locate the Spiral Mountain cobblestone bridge that joins us up to Spiral Mountain. Begin your spiraling descent upward and you’ll collect 5 notes in the process (36). Once you reach the top of Spiral Mountain collect the Jinjo (2) waiting for you. While there is a Jiggy switch in front of us, pressing it now would be in vain as you require Kazooie in order to obtain the Jiggy. Instead, let’s drop down and cross the bridge again. From here we’ll leave Spiral Rise and venture back down south to Spiral Mountain.

Spiral Mountain

Let’s head left after we see the Jinjo Oracle and head back to Bozzeye’s mole hill where we first learned the Pack Whack move. From here we’ll head south towards the area where we had our first official meeting with Bozzeye. You should manage to spot a bridge harboring 2 notes and eventually if you keep on your path to the south you’ll manage to come across Bozzeye’s first mole hill. Once you reach this mound, just head to the right and you’ll find a group of vines that you’ll be able to climb up using your Grip Grab ability.

Once you reach the top collect the 3 notes on the ledge (39) and then cross the bridge and collect the 2 that could be seen from the ground (41). You’ll notice that the grass begins to look a tad sandy, which means that we’ve found our way to the entrance of Breegul Beach! Continue to the left until you spot a slope which connects the world of sand to the grass below and enter the area. Collect the 3 notes to the left of the entrance (44) and then enter the gaping maw that leads to Breegul Beach!
