Mickey’s Speedway USA Weapons Guide

Speed isn’t everything in Mickey’s Speedway USA – there’s also strategy, cunning, and decidedly underhanded tactics that will see you crossing the finish line before anyone else.
On this front, Professor von Drake has been very busy in his lab outfitting some of his greatest gadgets and innovative inventions to serve you best as you race across the United States.

Below you’ll find a complete list of the Professor’s pursuant projectiles, brilliantly bombastic boosters and dexterous defenses with expert tips and strategies to their specific functions and limitations, where applicable.

UNIFIED TOKEN DELIVERY SYSTEM

As Mickey and friends make their cross-country trek around America, they’re more than likely to come across sets of golden mouse-eared medallions on each track. These “Oomph Tokens” will increase your Top Speed, with 10 serving as the highest booster. Luckily, Professor von Drake’s Unified Token Delivery system will provide three instantaneous Oomph Tokens which you can use immediately.

CARBO-BEVERAGE SPRITZER

The Professors’ Carbo-Beverage Spritzer is designed to put a bit of pep in your engine. When you pick up the Spritzer, press Z and you’ll rocket ahead of the competition with a fizzy speed burst. It’s recommended that you use the Spritzer when you’re entering a straight-away, or to power through undesirable terrain. Professor von Drake is not responsible for any airborne vehicles via shortsighted drivers.

UN-EXPRESSWAY PAINT SPLOTCHER

Using the same patented technology designed to paint median strips, Professor von Drake used some creative license and a lot more paint to create the Paint Splotcher. When you’ve collected it, you can press Z to leave behind a viscous puddle that will trip up any unfortunate racers foolish enough to drive through it. Pointing the control stick forward when pressing Z will cause the Splotcher to be fired ahead.

INCREDI-FLATED BASEBALL CHUCKER

A by-product of the “Peanuts N’ Crackerjacker 5000”, the Incredi-flated Baseball Chucker will provide your racer with an oversized baseball projectile when collected. Pressing Z will cause the Baseball Chucker to fire off ahead at great speed, ricocheting like a pinball until it comes in contact with another racer – and boom! That’s a grand slam! You can also hold the control stick downwards to fire the Baseball behind.

MICRO-WHEELED TRACECHASER

Cranking the voltage up ‘considerably’ on his Pro-Am R.C. Car, the Professor was able to modify the once harmless toy into the heat-seeking Trace Chaser. Pressing Z will cause this volatile vehicle to track down a single racer ahead and send them skidding out of control. The only drawback to using the Tracer Chaser is that it can be outmaneuvered with some tricky turning, so only use it when you’ve got a straight shot.

ANTIGRAV-O-KIT MAGNO FLYER

The pride and joy of Professor von Drake’s Lift-Off-Und-Slam-You Division, the Antigrav-O-Kit Magno Flyer addresses all of the avoidance issues posed to the TraceChaser for an unstoppable and inevitable aerial attack. Pressing Z will cause the Magno Flyer to take flight around the track and dive-bomb into the nearest racer ahead. In the right hands, this flying ace can change the standings of any race.

SHELLAC-O-MATIC SHIELD SHELL

Accidentally discovered when the Professor attempted to invent a spray-on water-proof finish that worked a little too well. The Shellac-O-Matic Shield Shell will envelop your vehicle with a coating of invulnerability for a limited time when you press Z. Not only does it ward off any projectiles, but you can also bump into other racers to have them spin out, and traverse rough terrain without slowing down.

STORMY WEATHER WHENEVER ENGAGER

A failed prototype of the “All Clear Atmosphere Engager”, Professor von Drake’s Stormy Weather Whenever Engager causes a pocket-sized thunderstorm to materialize out of thin air. When you press Z, any racers ahead of your current position will become bogged down in a personal storm that hovers over their car for a limited time. This invention is great for making up considerable lost ground.
