MISSION 7: CUBA – STAGE 4: CRADLE

Background: Janus control communications have been jammed and the Goldeneye satellite orbit is decaying. Only Trevelyan and his personal bodyguard remain unaccounted for.

Objectives:
1- Destroy the Control Console (Agent)
2- Settle the Score with Trevelyan (Agent)

M Briefing: You know my feelings about personal vendettas interfering with mission success, 007. However, in this case, I think we can turn a blind eye to whatever happens out there. Be careful, and remember, – you are licensed to kill.

Q Branch: Would you believe it, 007? There’s another blasted control thingy actually on the antenna cradle. Trevelyan might be able to realign the antenna and get one last firing message through to the satellite. Get out there and destroy it! We don’t things going pear-shaped at the last minute.

Moneypenny: The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world, James. You know I won’t sleep soundly until you get back to England in one piece.

MISSION 7: CUBA – STAGE 4: CRADLE – MAPS

These declassified maps from MI6 give a satellite view of the Cradle – our intelligence has also taken great care to provide internal blueprints for any area that our cameras haven’t been able to peer inside of, giving you complete visibility of every location in your mission. Crucial provisions like Body Armor and hidden Weapons have also been detailed inside the dossier, along with other points of interest during the assignment.
Click here to expand the dossier and take a closer look at the maps provided within.
You may use these maps before the mission starts to familiarize yourself with the region, and refer to them throughout as you need them.
Good luck, 007!

ANTENNA CRADLE, JANUS BASE, CUBA

This is it. The final battle. After nine years, Alec Trevelyan, formerly Agent 006 of Her Majesty’s Secret Service, has turned on his friends and country to prove a point: that money runs the world, not political powers or men in suits. Now he’s gone mad, trying to wipe out every financial transaction throughout London with the EMP hardware of the GoldenEye satellite. Natalya did a great job averting its course, but Trevelyan’s team has been hard at work up here getting the satellite to re-align so that they can edit its course back to London. There are no rules anymore. Take out Trevelyan or he’ll never stop. Put an end to this once and for all.

From this very end of the cradle, loop around the platform behind you and grab the body armor. Head forward. You will notice Janus workers firing at you before you can even see them. They are a dime-a-dozen force, so shoot them down with your PP7 and steal their ZMG’s. Go along the top and down the slope to the center. Jump down the stairs to the main platform with a building on either side. Open the door to the left one; there will be two drone guns in here. Your guns are powerful enough to take them out quickly. One will face you as soon as you open the door, and the second is off to the left, barely out of range.

When the coast is clear, find the computer console here. Destroy it. All control of the satellite cradle will now be impossible! All that’s left to save this world is to put an end to this madman. Somewhere nearby will be Trevelyan (this place isn’t that big). He will start a chase, expecting you to follow him as he runs across the cradle and back. Shoot his guards up to grab their ammo, and continue pursuit of Alec. On the lower levels, he will drop grenades behind him, so take the other route and shoot him from an angle.

At some point, Alec will have had enough. He will invite you down to the very bottom of the cradle, the maintenance room. He will drop down the shaft to the very bottom platform. Shoot him before he shoots you off. You cannot hit him from above, so you have to drop down with him. Be quick and be confident, and you can push your best friend off the edge all the way down to his fate.
