CHALLENGE 17: CATCH THE COWARDS!

Scenario: The tables have turned since his exploits in the Games Room during the Bring Out The Imps! Challenge, and in this mundane rendition of tag, it seems as though Cooper is ‘it’ against an onslaught of cowardice Imps. You’ll have an entire minute to effectively ‘tag’, or less-than-delicately put, stalk and bludgeon into submission as many fleeing Imps as you possibly can. The more Imps you manage to hunt and defeat, the higher you’ll score, with an impressive 23 Imps needed to best the Platinum score.

Strategy: You’ll want to waste little time getting started in this frantic challenge, so as you start off try to locate the nearest Imp and defeat it as quickly as possible. You should have plenty of time to act as the Imps fall from their chutes, so land your first kick to stop them in their tracks and follow it up with another to send them off. Once you’ve done that you’ll want to approach the large section of lockers in this area and break down the doors – doing so will provide you a tin of Turbo Cooper! Soup. With speed on our side, let’s begin the chase with the cowardice Imps around the room; their tiny legs should be no match for your sprinting strides, so tackle them into submission and knock your way through the crowd while the Super Soup is still in effect. As you make your way past the Control Booth, you should manage to spot a cart with a few sharp knives on top. While you can’t use these knives against the fleeing Imps, you can smash the cart open which will reveal another Turbo Cooper! Soup for your efforts, snatch it up quick-like and take off towards the collection of cages crammed in the corner here. Breaking through the bars of the first cage just in front of the operating table will offer up a tin of Miniature Cooper! Soup which we’ll grab to leave our dinky doppleganger take care of the Imps that we’ll leave behind. Venture on ahead to the next cage closest to the door dealing with any Imps that might get in your way and then smash the cage open to find another Miniature Cooper! tin which we’ll snatch up like its brother to send into the fray. We’ll come back to the final cage later, but for now let’s focus on getting back to chasing the Imps, being sure to ignore the Imps that your counterparts have claimed already – not much sense in overkill when you’re needed elsewhere. Once you’ve managed to defeat around 13-15 Imps you’ll notice that the Miniature Cooper! Tins are starting to wear thin; let’s venture back towards the third untouched cage and break it open to find the final Miniature Cooper! tin. We’ll have to work against the clock here, so let’s have our mini minion go off to keep up quota on the floor while we find a collection of bottles stashed on the right-hand corner of the operating table. From here it’s just a matter of seek and destroy – you’ll have to be vigilant in picking off the individual Imps in a timely fashion while leaving your counterpart to take care of his own. As you near the end you should manage to have your counter just reach 23 Imps as you work in co-ordinance with your microscopic marauder. It goes without saying that this challenge is particularly difficult, especially with its heady requirement leading you falling just short with every attempt. If you stick it through however, you should manage the Platinum medal in spades.
