CHALLENGE 14: KICK ‘EM QUICK!

Scenario: Cooper takes a backseat in this challenge, allowing his girlfriend Amber to take the reins in this Beat-Em-Up Blitzkrieg! In similar fare to the Billard Room Bust-Up, the Kick ‘Em Quick challenges finds Fiddlesworth’s Cottage filled to the brim with Flying Imps – which you’ll have a limited time to clear out and make it somewhat hospitable once more. While the Baron is nowhere to be seen, you’ll have to take on the role yourself and down as many flying annoying nuisances with your bare hands as possible, all 20 before 50 seconds has come to pass if it’s a Platinum prize you hope to walk away with…

Strategy: Before you venture out onto the floor and start kicking the Imps in a timely fashion so the title refers, it worth your while to take a second and dent in the large freezer to your immediate left. Once you’ve done so, you’ll spot a pair of Super Soup Tins being delivered in response, namely a Traitor Fever! Tin and a Turbo Cooper! Soup. Snatch up the Turbo Cooper! Tin, but leave the Traitor Fever! Soup behind; we’ll come back for it later on in the challenge when desperation sets in. Right, let’s make our way onto the main floor of the Cottage and start catching Imps by surprise with our added speed. You’ll need to pelt each Imp twice, the first will cause the Imps to immobilize in mid-air and the second attack will finish them off for good. You shouldn’t have much trouble in finding more Imps, as they’re likely trying to swat you with their wings in the mean time. Once you’ve managed to clear half of the Imps out of the Cottage you’ll find the next wave bursting out from the large barrel just in front of the Kitchen. These Imps are a lot more hostile than their previous counterparts, and will divebomb relentlessly to hinder your progress. Without paying them any mind, let’s rush back into the Kitchen and pick up our ready-made Tin of Traitor Fever! Soup. After you’ve managed to grab the Super Soup, it’s likely that you’ll spot the counter drop a few points as the Imps turn on one another. Once you’ve passed through the doorway to the main Cottage floor you’ll have to evaluate the situation and go for the closest cluster of Imps. Unlike their previous incarnation, these Imps will succumb to a single solid kick if they’ve gotten their tails wedged in the flooring. It’s best to take advantage of this scenario like a scavenger; let a pair of Imps dive into one another and if one is defeated in doing so, approach the second Imp struggling in the floor and take it out. If both Imps are left standing, hurry on before they’ve freed themselves and send them packing. This challenge is rather tight, especially with the limit of 50 seconds required, but if you work fast and think faster you’ll kick ’em quick all the way to Platinum.
